Plumbline passes toilet bowl replacement requests to plumbers in Singapore. Replacing a bowl is a half-day job when the outlet lines up, and a longer one when it does not, which is the single biggest reason quotes differ.
What the plumber does first
The plumber checks the existing outlet position (floor or wall, and the distance from the wall), the cistern type and the condition of the floor around the base. That decides which bowls fit without changes to the pipe, and whether the job needs any regulated pipe work.
Before you buy a new bowl
- Measure the outlet: floor outlet or wall outlet, and the distance from the wall to the centre of the outlet.
- Check the space to the side and in front.
- Decide on supply: buying the bowl yourself can be cheaper, but ask the plumber the price for installing a customer-supplied bowl.
What is included
- Outlet and fit check
- Old bowl removed
- New bowl fitted and sealed
- Cistern and inlet connected
- Leak and flush test
- Price agreed before work starts
